Cooperative puzzle game Take Time has passed 325,000 copies printed in less than a year on sale, according to Asmodee, which publishes it through its Libellud studio. The game launched in October 2025.

Take Time was designed by Alexi Piovesan and Julien Prothière. It started with an initial print run of 145,000 copies, and each reprint since then has been larger than 60,000 copies. Asmodee now expects to run two to three more global print runs every year.

Key details

  • The game sells through hobby shops, mass-market retailers and online stores.
  • Visual development took about six months before release.
  • It was nominated in the intermediate category of the 2026 As d'Or awards, which went to Toy Battle.
  • Asmodee's game line manager Auguste Lecoeur said Take Time "won't be a 'one-hit wonder'".

Why it matters

A cooperative, quick-to-teach game reaching these numbers shows strong demand for tabletop experiences that families and casual players can pick up easily. The same appeal applies to digital card and puzzle games, where short rules and shared goals help new players join in.
